Epson’s Stylus Pro 450 series offers dramatic productivity increase

July 2007

Epson’s three new Stylus Pro 450 series four colour printers for the architectural, engineering and print-for-pay markets maintain Epson’s reliability for high image quality, print durability and colour consistency, while improving productivity.

The Stylus Pro 4450, Stylus Pro 7450, and Stylus Pro 9450 have increased print speeds up to 60 per cent faster than Epson’s Stylus Pro 400 series using a new production mode setting that dramatically improves throughput in production intensive environments.

Epson’s MicroPiezo printhead technology produces even better image quality with perfectly spherical dots and increased dot placement accuracy with high precision impact point control.

The Stylus Pro 450 series utilises two 220 ml ink cartridges for each of the four UltraChrome pigment ink colours, ensuring fast print speeds and reducing operating costs while lengthening operating times between cartridge changes.

And as would be expected from the leaders in ink technology, Epson’s UltraChrome pigment ink retains Epson’s renowned superior print permanence capabilities on a range of genuine Epson media up to 1.5 mm thick.

To support the large selection of media available, the Stylus Pro 450 series comes with a roll paper feeder and automatic cutter, manual feed slots for thick media and a paper scale for accurate media alignment. Standard media sizes range from 17 to 44 inch rolls and up to 1.5 mm media thickness.

The automatic cutter on the Stylus Pro 7450 and Stylus Pro 9450 have improved cutting speeds to further reduce throughput times for all jobs.

The Stylus Pro 4450, Stylus Pro 7450, and Stylus Pro 9450 have USB2.0 and Ethernet as standard interfaces. The Stylus Pro 450 series printers will be available in October with recommended prices of: Stylus Pro 4450 - $2695, Stylus Pro 7450 - $5395, and Stylus Pro 9450 - $10895 Ex GST.
