Epson makes ISO 12647-7 certification easier with new FograCert proofing paper.

Epson Australia is making it easier for its graphics arts customers to achieve ISO 12647-7 certification by introducing a new Epson Proofing Paper that is designed in accordance with this standard.

Epson Standard Proofing Paper 240 has been certified by the Fogra Graphic Technology Research Association (Fogra) for Offset PT1/PT2/PT3, Flexo, and Gravure S1/S2/S3/S4 and is supported by leading RIP vendors.

“Within Australia and New Zealand, industry awareness for ISO 12647-7 has rapidly increased, in response to our graphic arts customer requests, Epson is pleased to announce a genuine Epson proofing media that meets the ISO proofing standard,” said Craig Heckenberg, Business Unit Manager, Business Solutions Division, Epson Australia.

Epson Standard Proofing Paper 240 is available in 30.5 metres rolls in widths of 17 inches, 24 inches and 44 inches, the paper has a semi-matte finish, weight of 240gsm, a White Point optimised for Fogra39, and controlled white point accuracy.

Epson Standard Proofing Paper 240 is distributed through Kayell Australia and is available from 1 June, 2009.
