Sydney, 30 August 2013: Epson has released an integrated, stand-alone on-demand colour labelling kiosk that combines a high-speed CPU, easy-to-use moisture-resistant XGA LCD touch panel and a high-quality MicroPiezo® inkjet label printer featuring Epson DURABrite® Ultra pigment ink within one small desktop footprint.
The Epson TM-C3400-LT is ideally suited for retail, logistics, manufacturing, hospitality, event ticketing, workplace safety, medical, pharmaceutical and other environments requiring an easy to use terminal interface, an increased level of data security and durable colour labels on demand.
With Epson’s DURABrite Ultra pigment ink the TM-C3400-LT's smudge free, light fast and liquid resistant colour printing capabilities improve identification, helping prevent errors in critical applications, such as wristbands and prescription labels for healthcare, warnings on packages, colour codes on components, colour-graded security passes and a myriad of other colour-coded tools.
Epson’s DURABrite inks produce high quality labels that are resistant to water, alcohol and challenging environmental conditions such as UV lighting.
The ability to print custom designs in full colour and on demand also reduces costs associated with pre-printing, including stock management and label wastage, while the DURABrite water-based inks and low power consumption of the MicroPiezo inkjet printer reduce impacts on the environment.
With the Windows® Embedded POS Ready2009 operating system, printer drivers and software utilities and plug and play connections with up to six peripherals such as barcode scanners, keyboards or Epson receipt printers via USB 2.0 ports, the TM-C3400-LT is ready for immediate straightforward printing, supported by the optional start-up label software.
The TM-C3400-LT provides virtually everything needed to create a turnkey solution kiosk ready to run critical applications in very tight spaces. Also released this month as another addition to Epson’s comprehensive range of desktop label printers is the Epson TM-C3400-BK, a compact monochrome label printer that produces smudge-free, light-fast and liquid-resistant labels that are durable and secure even in demanding outdoor conditions and mission critical applications such as in laboratories or logistics.
The TM-C3400-BK uses Epson DURABrite Ultra Pigment inks that give a greater level of data security and privacy over thermal transfer printers as the TM-C3400-BK doesn’t leave a mirror image of the printout on the thermal transfer ribbon, improving security in healthcare or government institutions. Additionally, print quality is higher due to better greyscale printing capabilities.
