Epson releases mobile retail printer with 12 hour battery life
Sydney 01 February 2005: Epson Australia has today released the TM-P60 wireless enabled mobile printer designed specifically for the retail and hospitality markets.
With an industry-leading 12 hour battery life and based on Epson's biggest selling thermal printer, the TM-T88, the TM-P60 provides continuous thermal printing on the go throughout an entire shift without the need to dock for recharging.
The TM-P60 combines the features retailers need most to deliver uninterrupted printing performance in busy retail and food service environments including clear, crisp, high-speed thermal printing with ease of use features, including auto-cutter and drop-in paper loading. It also supports print widths up to 54mm.
Epson Business Manager, Business Systems, Jason Whiley, said the TM-P60 is Epson's first wireless mobile printer designed with the needs of the retail and hospitality industries in mind.

Designed to support industry-standard 802.11b and Bluetooth™ Compact Flash (CF) wireless cards, the TM-P60 provides retailers with flexible network support and high reliability at the lowest total cost of operation in its class.
Built to survive drops and repel spills in busy kitchen, counter, and tableside environments, the TM-P60's sleek, compact design is ideally suited for use in retail and hospitality.
The TM-P60 is also rated amongst the toughest in its class, having been built to continue working even after being dropped on to hard surfaces from 1.2 metres.
Compatible with today's best-of-breed and component-based POS systems, the TM-P60 comes complete with widely used ESC/POS® command codes and OPOS and JPOS drivers, for compatibility with software applications written for Epson's popular TM-T88 series.
Additional accessories include shoulder strap, belt clip, and multiple battery chargers, the TM-P60 carries a 1-year warranty and is available now.
