New Epson Stylus (TM) Photo 1410 expands the boundary of Claria Photographic Printing to A3+

February 2007

Sydney, 27th February 2007: Epson has built upon its range of Claria printers with the release of the Epson Stylus Photo 1410. Joining the popular A4 Stylus Photo R390 and RX590, the Stylus Photo 1410 provides photography enthusiasts with vivid A3+ photographic prints. It delivers the ultimate combination of image quality, high-speed performance and value in the A3+ category.

Stylus Photo 1410This Ultra High Definition printer creates high impact A3+ prints, providing stunning enlarged images that are ideal for framing. It can also print a variety of other sizes BorderFree, including 4"x 6" photos.

The Stylus Photo 1410 is suitable for offices and small businesses that are looking for a cost efficient option to produce professional-looking catalogues and other materials in-house without sacrificing high-quality output.

The Stylus Photo 1410 uses Epson's Claria Ultra High Definition Photographic ink which has a wide colour gamut and bright, vivid colours. Claria ink is smudge and scratch resistant as well as being resistant to fading that is caused by light and ozone.

Claria Photographic ink adds richness, depth and clarity to your printed photos. When combined with genuine Epson paper, your photos can last up to 200 years when stored in an album, therefore exceeding the life of silver halide and lab photo prints.

Colour photos fade because over time light and gases in the air break the bonds in the dye colour molecules on the paper. With Claria Photographic ink the dye molecules contain more atoms with tighter bonding, and Epson has aggregated these stronger molecules into clusters and equipped them with atomic shields to reduce the likelihood of breakdown due to light or oxidation.

The Stylus Photo 1410 has six individual Claria ink cartridges including cyan, light cyan, magenta, light magenta, yellow and black so users only need replace the colour used most making printing convenient and cost efficient.

The new Advanced Variable Sized droplet technology enables the nozzles to fire 5 different sized droplets, increasing flexibility of droplet sizes and droplet placement. The result is faster printing and improved photo quality. The Stylus Photo 1410 produces ink droplets as small as 1.5 picolitres, and prints at optimised resolutions as high as 5760 x 1440 dpi.

Epson's PhotoEnhance software is tuned to the characteristics of Claria ink and Epson paper acting as the expert in your printer producing the optimum print every time by automatically adjusting the colour balance to allow for the different requirements of portraits, landscapes or groups. It then enhances images to correct limitations such as poor lighting, exposure and colour casting.

For the dedicated photo enthusiasts the Stylus Photo 1410 has the advantage of using the wider colour gamut of the AdobeĀ® RGB colour space mode which is located in the driver and is available on most high quality digital cameras.

There is no need for a computer to print your digital photos as the Stylus Photo 1410 has USB Direct Print from digital cameras and Epson Photo Multimedia viewers making printing quick and convenient. Once connected via USB a print menu is displayed on the camera's LCD monitor, enabling you to select the size, number and type of prints you want.

The front loading CD tray of the Stylus Photo 1410 allows users to print directly onto CDs and DVDs. And with the inclusion of Epson Print CD software, CDs and DVDs can now have a professional look, eliminating the need for messy labels.

The Stylus Photo 1410 is bundled with a comprehensive software package; Epson Creativity Suite; that allows users to manage their images and navigate easily to the required software application, for example, Epson Easy Photo Print. Users can also utilise the interface to attach images to e-mail, send to web, print web pages and easily adjust image sizes and resolutions.

The Stylus Photo 1410 now joins Epson's range of A3+ printers that include the Stylus Photo R1800 which is ideal for professionals with its UltraChrome Hi-Gloss ink and the Epson Stylus Photo R2400 which utilises UltraChrome K3 ink in producing exceptional black and white prints.

The Stylus Photo 1410 RRP is $699 including GST and is available for purchase at consumer electronics retailers, computer superstores, mass merchandisers, office superstores and selected photo specialty stores.
