Double–Feed Detection
Using a combination of ultrasonic sensor technology and paper thickness settings in the Epson Scan 3.6 driver, the Epson GT-S80 is capable of detecting instances of double–feeding, i.e. two pages being inadvertently fed through simultaneously.
When a double–feed is detected, the scanner automatically pauses its current job and displays an alert message on the Epson GT-S80’s LCD panel or on-screen via the Epson Scan driver. Through providing the Epson GT-S80 with this capability, Epson has ensured the scanner has the high levels of functionality required of modern document management solutions.
