A development of Epson's monochrome RIT - for smooth presentation of colour text characters and curved lines. RITech eliminates dotted or jagged edges in colour text and ensures that even finely detailed areas are reproduced sharply, making charts, graphs and finely detailed CAD and schematics alive with clear, crisp lines.
Capitalising on colour printing technology advances made by Epson, this technology automatically distinguishes between photographic images, text and line drawings all on a single page. It then applies specific technologies to each of these, resulting in beautifully gradated and coloured photographs, incredibly sharp text and smooth-edged line drawings.
This technology boosts the printer's original 600dpi resolution to an effective 2400dpi by controlling the size of each dot to one of 16 horizontal steps. Combined with the colour dot placement algorithms developed from Epson's award-winning dot placement technology, this enables exceptional print quality in graduated fills and photographs.
A polymer-based toner formulation to maximise uniform toner coverage by using smaller toner particles. Unlike conventional toner particles, AcuLaser MicroPolymer Toner particles have a uniform spherical shape, which ensure vivid colour reproduction, sharp and delicate imaging, faithful rendering of fine lines, and high adhesion and stability.
