When it comes to achieving photographic prints that deliver on vibrancy, colour and durability, Epson UltraChrome Hi–Gloss ink set a new level of excellence when it was first introduced. It's a level, though, that has now been developed further with the second generation UltraChrome Hi–Gloss2.
Consisting of eight separate cartridges for each ink — cyan, magenta, yellow, red, orange, matte black, photo black and gloss optimiser — the UltraChrome Hi–Gloss2 ink set delivers photo prints that exhibit all the beauty that can be achieved with an advanced resin–coated pigment ink formulation.
Epson UltraChrome Hi–Gloss2 ink incorporates High–Gloss Microcrystal Encapsulation™ Technology along with unique screening algorithms. There is no longer any compromise for professionals that require glossy prints that have excellent longevity and durability such as water, smudge and fade resistance.
New Orange Ink: With the inclusion of a dedicated orange ink, the UltraChrome Hi–Gloss2 ink set dramatically widens the colour gamut in those areas critical to accurate skin tone reproduction — in the oranges, yellows and reds.
Improved Magenta and Yellow Inks: Having undergone significant reformulations, the magenta and yellow inks included in the UltraChrome Hi–Gloss2 ink set further improve the accuracy of blue and green tonal colours.
Improved Gloss Optimiser: To achieve an even better "final finish" result for your photographs, UltraChrome Hi–Gloss2's Gloss Optimiser provides a more uniform reflective and glossier surface. Resulting in less bronzing, a more even shine, and an outstanding finish.
Matte and Photo Black:To bring about optimum results on different paper types, the Stylus Photo R1900's UltraChrome Hi–Gloss2 ink set features separate cartridges for Matte Black — for use on Epson's range of matte papers — and Photo Black — for Epson's range of glossy photo papers.
