A critical yet sometimes overlooked component in photographic inkjet printing solutions is the LUT – Look Up Table. It is the LUT that is used by the printer driver to determine the precise volumes and combination of inks to use in order to achieve accurate colour reproduction. Through significant enhancements and advances, the newly developed Epson LUT technology for the Stylus Photo R2880 delivers:
- Optimised colour gradation: Optimising the shading/gradation of all colours for smooth and natural colour transitions along with rich shadow and highlight detail.
- Reduced graininess: Due to the colour accuracy of the new Epson LUT technology which dramatically minimises the graininess that is typically evident in skin tones and highlights.
- Colour constancy: With more accurate colour reproduction resulting from the new LUT, the Epson Stylus Photo R2880 reduces print metamerism, providing exceptional consistent colour balance regardless of the light source under which a print is viewed.
