Lightfastness: Resulting from extensive research and development,
the Epson UltraChrome K3 Ink with Vivid Magenta has lightfastness characteristics
that help prevent print fading and discolouration for up to 108 years (colour)
and in excess of 200 years for black-and-white prints.*
Durability: Moisture and airborne contaminants are among the most common causes of print damage. Affording protection against those – as well as smudge-damage resulting from handling – is the ink-set’s specially formulated water insoluble, resin-encapsulated pigments, which bond together to form a smooth and protective surface.
* These figures are based on test conducted by Wilhelm Imaging using Epson UltraChrome K3 Ink with Vivid Magenta on the Epson 880 printer series. Tests are still being conducted using the Epson Stylus Photo R2880.
