Memory Card Compatibility
The design of the P-4500 Multimedia Viewer allows users to minimise the amount of memory cards required for photography purposes. It acts as a storage unit; enabling you to download images quickly from a digital still camera memory card then reuse that card within minutes.
For easy and quick access, integrated CompactFlash (CF) and SD/MMC card slots are situated along the top edge of the P-4500. The CF slot supports Type I and II (including MicroDrive) and both CF and SD card slots can be used simultaneously, with the P-4500 automatically prompting for which slot is to be used for copy to/from operations.
Adding further to the P-4500's memory card flexibility is support for third–party adapters that enable card types such as xD–Picture and Memory Stick to be used.
With a new and powerful CPU, the P-4500 delivers incredibly fast data processing capabilities. In fact, zooming and viewing of full frame images and thumbnails is up to 500 per cent faster; and transferring data from memory cards to the viewer's hard disk is up to 250 per cent faster than the P2000.
