The Epson Perfection 1200S scanner provides customers with 36-bit colour scanning and optical resolutions of 1200 x 2400 dpi. Maximum hardware resolution is gained through the advanced technology of Epson's unique Micro Step Drive.
By using a method of 'half stepping', these scanners are able to capture exceptional image detail by scanning at 2400 dpi, twice the 1200 dpi optical resolution. Customers are able to enlarge small images to many times their original size while retaining exceptional output quality. With a combination of 36-bit scanning and the Epson Perfection 1200S' maximum interpolated resolution of 9600 dpi, up to 68 billion colours can be recognised.
Featuring Epson's ColorTrue Imaging System, the Perfection 1200S scanner integrates hardware, optics and processing technologies to give detailed and accurate images, reducing 'jaggies'.
