Business Systems Warranty

Definitions

In this warranty:

Warranty
  1. Subject to paragraphs b and c, Epson Australia warrants that your Product will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the Purchase Date.
  2. In the case of a TM-U220, TM-T20 & TM-T81 series Product, the warranty period is 2 years from the Purchase Date.
  3. In the case of a, TM-T88IV & TM-T70 series Product, the warranty period is 3 years from the Purchase Date.
  4. In the case of a TM-T88V series Product, the warranty period is 4 years from the Purchase Date.
  5. In the case of the Power Supply and Interface Card for all printers, the warranty period is 1 year from date of purchase.
  6. The warranty does not cover Options and Consumables
  7. The warranty on Epson POS Terminals only covers hardware failure.
  8. Software, including operating systems and software added by Epson through our configuration process, third party software, or the reloading of software are not covered by Epson warranty.

For all warranty claims, Epson Australia or its Authorised Service Agents will at their discretion, either repair or replace your product.

To make a warranty claim, You must:

This Warranty will not detract from any rights that may be available to you under the Act in relation to a Product.

Warranty Application

This warranty applies only:
  1. To a Product sold new or by an Epson Australia Dealer;
  2. If you use the Product for your own business purposes; and
  3. You have not bought the Product for resale.
Warranty Exclusions

This Warranty will not apply if during the warranty period:
  1. A Product's serial number or any rating label is removed or changed in any way;
  2. A Product is repaired or serviced other than by an authorised EPSON AUSTRALIA Service Agent;
  3. You use a Product contrary to any technical or operating environment guidelines recommended in its user guide or manual;
  4. A part in your Product reaches the end of its service life;
  5. A Product's malfunction or failure results from:
    1. deliberate or accidental damage;
    2. neglect or modification;
    3. misuse or abuse
    4. normal wear and tear
    5. incorrect voltage or a power surge; or
    6. your use of any non-genuine consumables, software, parts, accessories or interfacing.
Non-Genuine Items

Epson Australia advises that if you use Non-Genuine Consumables, software, options or accessories with your Product, you may damage it and invalidate this Warranty.
