The Epson P-6000 and P-7000 make it possible to confirm your photos quickly. A rating system assists in browsing, checking and selecting your images.

Rating system

Rating System

You can use the rating function to grade photos from one to five stars using the Rating key (star icon here). You can also filter what is shown according to ratings. Rating uses the XMP file format, which means you can rate images after a shoot and use this rating information in Adobe® Bridge.

Checking images

When image files are viewed, by default no information is displayed, in order to allow quality checking of the entire image. You can switch to the file information mode (as shown below) by pressing the display key.

Check Images

In the over-under exposure mode, about 6% on each end of the brightness range (low and high) throughout the image shows graduated tone reversal, allowing you to check mode levels. The brightest 6% of the image shows 4 grades of black, and the darkest 6% of the image shows 4 grades of white.

Using zoom function to check focus

When viewing images in full screen, you can use the zoom function quickly just by pressing the 'OK' button to display the navigation screen on the photo. You can then view the next or previous photo without changing the zoom setting to check any number of similar images.

Advanced folder browsing

Advanced Folder Browsing

When searching through the list of folders, the images in the folder are displayed in 64 thumbnails. This makes it easy to find the target folder and quickly access the image that you are looking for.

Three types of image browsing

Three types of image browser screen are selectable by pressing the Display key. A target image can be quickly found and even rated using any of these browser views.

Enhanced photo display mode

Enhanced photo display mode enhances each image automatically. The image will be displayed clearly, just like viewing slides on a light table. Images of faces are recognised automatically, and the colour and brightness can be automatically corrected to reproduce accurate skin tones.

Slide show

Users can view the photos stored in the internal hard disk or inserted memory card in a slide show. The custom settings allow the user to set the image transition effects, the slide duration and also select from a play list to play music to accompany the slide show.
