Epson launches 12-colour large format photo and fine art printers
New SureColor P7560 & P9560 printers combine industry leading colour and speed with simpler operation and a reduced running cost

SYDNEY, 29 October 2019 – Epson Australia has launched its first-ever large-format 12 colour printers. The new 24" SC-P7560 and 44" SC-P9560 combine superior image quality with outstanding productivity and a reduced operating cost. Designed for professional reproduction, they enable exacting output at high speed, feature a new PrecisionCore print head and upgraded UltraChrome ink in a set includes three levels of black along with orange, green and violet. The printers express the highest ever gamut levels with enhanced image detail and precise colour that achieves 99% Pantone1.

The new models have been developed to suit the needs of professional graphic designers, artists, and photographers and they feature a μTFP12 printhead that is over 260% wider than its predecessor with dedicated channels for every ink and 800 nozzles per colour. Supported by improved half toning and feed management systems this ensures extremely accurate reproduction at speeds up to four times faster than previous generations and two times that of others in the class.

The new models feature a reliable vertical feed path with support for the widest range of media from photo and fine art paper, to canvas and even board, set-up has been simplified with auto loading and auto skew correction. The printers ship with a broad range of media presets accessed from a new touch interface, and these can be augmented from an extensive on-line EMX library or adjusted manually and saved as a custom setting. Convenient windows allow for easy print monitoring complete with a platen light.

SureColor P9560 with optional SpectroProofer and auto take-up

Professional photographers often spend a lot of time setting up a shot and/or processing the subsequent image so the new SureColor P7560 and P9560 have been designed with an optimised ink set that includes orange for skin tones, and green and violet for natural colours. They incorporate three levels of black for superior gradation and feature a Black Enhance Overcoat print mode that enables expression of the finest detail in both black and white and colour images.

Epson has long been the product of choice for customers involved in graphic design, packaging, and proofing. Predictable and consistent print has been key, as is the ability to work with a colour managed workflow. Both of these new printers are able to be ordered with an optional SpectroProofer for fast and accurate measurement with fully automated in-line colour control. Results are unerringly predictable so customers can work with efficiency and confidence.

Designed for efficiency and cost minimisation, both models use large 700ml max cartridges, and support rolls up to 150mm in diameter. They produce durable images without the need of an expensive optimiser and feature dedicated PK/MK ink lines along with integrated sub-tanks to minimise wastage. Unlike many competitors, the printheads don’t require regular replacement and are covered under warranty with on-site service that can be extended out to five years. Both can be ordered with an optional HDD and high speed Postscript processor and the 44” version can be ordered with an optional auto take-up for roll-to-roll production.
