Epson appoints Synnex as distributor

Sydney 20 November 2003: Epson Australia announced today the appointment of Synnex Australia Pty Ltd as a national hardware distributor of its volume inkjet, laser and dot matrix printers and scanners. This arrangement commences from 24 November.

Epson's Director of Marketing Communications, Mike Pleasants, said Synnex takes over the role vacated by Digiland Australia, as Digiland has ceased to distribute Epson's peripheral products.



"Synnex was acting as a sub-distributor of these products for several years, so there is no real change in the flow of products through to the market, and the change gives Epson the opportunity to work more closely with this channel partner," Mr Pleasants said.

Mr Pleasants said there are no changes to Epson's existing distribution arrangements for its consumables.
