Epson's new education friendly Multimedia Projectors the EMP-52 & EMP-73

Sydney December 17th 2002 - Epson Australia Limited today announces the release of two new Education/small business multi-media projectors the EMP-52 & EMP-73
Key Points:
The EMP-52 is the entry level SVGA projector from Epson and is designed and built with education presentation needs in mind. Featuring a 130Watt lamp and delivering a whopping 1200 ANSI lumens, the EMP-52 is comfortable in well lit rooms and true to Epson's engineering standards the globe life is rated to 1500 Hours.
The EMP-73 support all the interfaces you would ever want in a teaching environment including RGB in, S-Video in, video in, Left and Right Audio channels and also supports an RS-232 port. Both projectors have a 15-pin port and a monitor out port - enabling the teacher to connect a computer screen. The EMP-52 can also act as a USB hub - featuring one USB- 1.0 in and two USB 1.0 out ports.
The EMP-52 and EMP-73 continue the Epson tradition of user friendliness. Both models have a comprehensive on-screen menu system and a handy credit card remote control, but the main functions of source select and keystone correction have their own button on the top panel of the projector.
Both models feature auto keystone correction, have two brightness modes and can produce an image up to 7.6m . Both have a cool down period of only 20 seconds. So you can be up and running in almost any environment, and packed up and ready to go within 30 seconds of finishing your presentation.
The EMP-73 is the big brother of the two. With an XGA native 1024x768 pixel LCD matrix, a bigger 165W globe, and delivering 1500 ANSI Lumens, the EMP-73 is ideal for the board room one day, then on the road the next. With a contrast ration of 500:1 the EMP-73 delivers a crisp clear image in even the most difficult of light conditions.
The EMP-73 is multi-media ready and ships standard with a 1.8m PC RGB cable, a 3m RCS cable a 1.8m USB cable. Both models have a lengthy 3m power cable as standard and develop less than 35db of fan noise when operating making them ideal in an education environment.
Both Epson EMP-52 and Epson EMP-73 are available from Epson immediately. The EMP-52 retails for $3499 list ex GST, and the EMP-73 is available for $5,499 list ex tax.
