Epson releases multifunction laser printers with colour fax

July 2005

Sydney, 11 July 2005: Epson Australia has released the Epson AcuLaser CX11N and CX11NF multifunction printers for small and home office environments delivering high quality and high speed printing, scanning, copying and colour faxing (CX11NF only) with reliable Epson technology.

Featuring the fastest print speeds in the price category, up to 25ppm (pages per minute) in monochrome and 5ppm in colour and a first page out time of just 9 seconds in monochrome and 17 seconds in colour, the Epson AcuLaser CX11N and CX11NF are designed for busy environments requiring rapid output times.

Using Epson's highly developed colour management expertise, the AcuLaser CX11NF can send and receive faxes in both colour and monochrome using Super G3 fax technology at up to 33.6Kbps (kilobits per second) transmission speed including high resolution images (200x200dpi jpeg). Fax features also include a one touch dial for three locations, 60 location speed dial and up to 320 pages of memory.

With an optical resolution of 600dpi and an enhanced scanning resolution of 9600dpi the Epson AcuLaser CX11N and CX11NF are perfect for scanning, photocopying and faxing in both colour and monochrome with a scan speed of 25ppm in monochrome and 5ppm in colour.

The Epson Matrix CCD (charged coupled device) technology incorporated in the Epson AcuLaser CX11N and CX11NF helps increase scan speed, while the dedicated on board ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) assists in image processing.

Standalone copying through an innovative control panel with a comprehensive set of colour and black and white photocopying options using the bright back lit LCD screen is easy with the AcuLaser CX11N and CX11NF. Fast copy speeds of 12 seconds per A4 page for mono and 29 seconds per A4 page for colour also assist in creating a high speed, reliable multifunction printer.

The AcuLaser CX11N and CX11NF produce superior print quality of 2400dpi (dots per inch) (RIT) using the Epson Wrap Transfer System to eliminate toner scatter and any shift in the print image during transfer. The Epson Wrap Transfer System is also designed to increase print speeds and increase the unit's efficiency.

Epson's AcuBrite Toner technology creates detailed prints with smaller and more uniform particles for high resolution and outstanding colour expression.

The AcuBrite Toner uses pigment ink particles which are distributed evenly through the toner for an increased colour gamut, along with a special resin for gloss producing professional looking documents for business and home needs.

The Epson AcuLaser CX11N and CX11NF have flexible paper handling with a capacity of up to 680 sheets (180 sheet tray as standard plus optional 500 sheet tray), saving time in the workplace.

With a new driver interface and a range of applications including Epson Web-to-Page, Epson Business Photo Index Print, Presto! Page manager and NewSoft Presto! BizCard 4LE, productivity is increased and a professional looking high quality final print is easy to create.

The uncomplicated and compact design of the AcuLaser CX11N and CX11NF also allows access of printed documents from the front and either side of the printer, great for small offices where space is scarce.

The Epson AcuLaser CX11N is $1499 RRP and the Epson AcuLaser CX11NF is to be finalised but expected to be priced at $1800/1900 RRP and they are available through Epson resellers in July and August respectively.
