Sydney, 3 November 2005: Epson Australia today released the new Epson Stylus CX4100 and Stylus CX4700 productive multifunction printers for home and small office users wanting higher speed and better quality printing for professional looking documents and photographs.
Until 28 February 2006 the Epson Stylus CX4100 and Stylus CX4700 come with a bonus 12 month warranty, extending the warranty period to 24 months.
The Epson Stylus CX4100 and Stylus CX4700 feature Epson's DURABrite Ultra pigment ink which increases the durability of prints, making them smudge and water resistant, and provides up to 120 years lightfastness on selected Epson papers#. DURABrite Ultra adds gloss for text and photo printing on a wide range of paper types including plain paper, ensuring high quality presentation at all times.
The four individual colour Intellidge(TM) ink cartridges reduces the cost per print by tracking the amount of ink in each cartridge and alerting users if one or more cartridges are running low.
With five card slots (Smart Media, Compact Flash and Micro Drive, Memory Stick, SD card and MultiMedia Card), the Stylus CX4700 offers convenient PC free printing, copying and scanning. For added ease of use, the Stylus CX4100 and CX4700 support PictBridge, a camera industry standard that facilitates fast and easy to use PC-free digital printing of high quality photographs directly from digital cameras.
The Epson Stylus CX4100 and Stylus CX4700 print at up to 20ppm (A4 pages per minute) in monochrome and a 19ppm in colour and can print at up to 5760 dpi (dots per inch) using RPM (Resolution Performance Management) technology.
The improved 1200dpi scanner and improved copying facilities mean that the Epson Stylus CX4100 and Stylus CX4700 allow users to scan and print anything from documents to photos with quality results and with an adjustment of the LUT (Look-Up-Table), copying quality has been improved from previous Stylus models.
The Stylus CX4100 and Stylus CX4700 also deliver true BorderFree(TM) printing and copying of 4x6, 5x7, and A4 documents and photos.
The Epson Stylus CX4100 and Stylus CX4700 multifunction printers include the enhanced Epson Creativity Suite software for ease of use and management of files when printing, copying and scanning documents and photos.
Epson's Creativity Suite includes Epson File Manager, Scan Assist, Attach to Email, Image Clip Palette, Copy Utility, Easy Photo Print and Web-To-Page for all scanning and printing needs.
The new slimline design and easy to use control panel featured on the Stylus CX4100 and Stylus CX4700 add to the functionality and convenience for home users, small businesses and students requiring professional and high quality documents and photos at a low cost.
The Epson Stylus CX4100 is $159 RRP and the Stylus CX4700 is $209 RRP and both are available for purchase at consumer electronics retailers, computer superstores, mass merchandisers, office superstores and selected photo specialty stores.
