Epson showcases SureColor SC-S30600 eco-solvent printer at Visual Impact Image Expo

March 2012

Sydney, 30 March 2012: Epson will showcase its latest eco-solvent printer for the sign and display market, the SureColor SC-S30600, for the first time in Queensland at the Visual Impact Image Expo on the Gold Coast on 19-21 April.

Designed and manufactured by Epson from the ground up, the SC-S30600 offers efficient and environmentally-friendly production at the lowest total cost of ownership using Epson’s new UltraChrome® GS2 ink, enabling print firms, signmakers, digital copy shops and repro centres to expand their service offering.

“Visitors to our stand at VIIE can expect to see the highest image quality possible at extremely affordable prices. Speed, quality, cost and functionality make this our most advanced large format printer,” said Craig Heckenberg, Business Unit Manager at Epson Australia.

The SC-S30600 can produce everything from posters, signs, banners, backlit panels and POS materials to vehicle wraps, interior decorations and exhibition displays. A wide range of roll media is supported, allowing users to print reliably and cost-effectively on SAV, PVC, clear film, photographic paper and a diverse range of popular banner substrates.

UltraChrome GS2 eco-solvent ink is designed to work perfectly with the SC-S30600 and Epson’s new generation of TFP (thin film piezo) printheads. It builds on the strengths of UltraChrome GS available in the Epson Stylus® Pro GS6000 with a new high performance yellow formulation that is lightfast for up to three (3) years without lamination, while still capable of reproducing a broad colour range for precise colour matching.

UltraChrome GS2 and UltraChrome GS are odourless, nickel-free and require no special ventilation, allowing the SC-S30600 to be used in an air conditioned office environment.

Visitors to the Epson stand (G9) will also see the Stylus® Pro GS6000, a 64-inch photo-quality printer equipped with the UltraChrome® GS eight colour inkset.

With a maximum print resolution of 1440 x 1440 dpi along with an advanced Epson MicroPiezo printhead and Variable-Sized Droplet Technology capable of generating ink droplets as small as 3.7pl, the Pro GS6000 delivers the same high quality photo and display graphics as Epson aqueous printer technologies.
