Epson introduces creative and versatile handheld label printers at an affordable price

October 2012

Sydney, 25th October, 2012: Epson’s two new feature-packed handheld label printers do more than just organise. The affordable Epson LabelWorks™ LW-300 and LW-400 take creativity and versatility to a whole new level offering the most comprehensive range of advanced labelling options available on the market today.

Epson’s LabelWorks printers allow users to produce unique, customised high quality labels for any occasion. The LW-300 and LW-400 are ideal for home, school and every imaginable business office. They cover a range of applications from labelling school books and office files to putting finishing touches on scrapbooking projects and labelling IT and electrical cables. In the home, clothes can be labelled quickly and easily, using the Iron On tape which is machine washable, bleachable and dryer safe.

LabelWorks printers offer endless creative choice with 14 fonts, 10 font styles, more than 300 built-in symbols, over 75 frames and many varieties of tape types including iron on, matte, glow-in-the-dark and fluorescent. In addition, the LW-300 and LW-400 also come with a wider range of symbols compared to other devices.

To save time both LabelWorks printers feature a QWERTY keyboard and have built-in memory that allows most commonly used labels to be stored – up to 30 labels on the LW-300 and up to 50 labels on the LW-400.

With significantly smaller lead margins – 10mm compared with 26mm on other devices – there is 60 percent less lead margin waste on tapes allowing you to print even more labels. To make sure you get the most out of each label the LW-300 prints on tape up to 12mm wide which fits two lines of text, while the LW-400 can print on tape up to 18mm wide fitting four lines of text. The LabelWorks printers hold 9m tapes, one of the longest tapes currently available, which enables you to change tape cartridges less frequently.

The LW-400 takes label printing one step further with a back-lit LCD display so you can create labels anywhere, anytime whether you’re outdoors, working behind your TV in the lounge room or in a dimly-lit server or electrical room. With the electrical tradesman in mind, the LW-400 offers an expanded range of specialty print modes, for instance, enabling users to print custom barcodes, cable and wire-wrap. A tab function also allows for mirror image printing, ideal for simple folder making.

These feature-rich printers are very affordable starting at RRP $59 for the LW-300 inc. GST and the LW-400 is RRP $79 inc. GST. Both Epson LabelWorks printers come with 12 months return to base warranty and are available from selected retailers and resellers and Epson Shop Online www.epson.com.au./shoponline.
