Sydney 24 October 2013: Epson has released the Expression Photo XP-950, a six colour occasional A3 professional-quality photo printer with ultra-compact footprint ideal for enthusiast photographers or creative families who want to print bigger, better images wirelessly and without involving a PC.

“This is a stylish and compact premium versatile photo printer with superb features that make it simple, easy and fast to print display quality images up to A3 size as well as create customised cards and stationery,” said Priscilla Dickason, Group Product Marketing Manager at Epson Australia.

With the rear speciality media feed, users can print onto a variety of media up to A3 size, while the two front-loading paper trays allow users to switch between photo and A4-sized media without having to reload the paper during printing.

The Expression Photo XP-950 features Epson Connect[1] which allows quick and easy printing over WiFi from smartphones and tablets and, with WiFi Direct included, enables wireless printing without having to connect to a wireless router.

Epson Connect now includes the all new Epson Creative Print App, enabling smartphone and tablet users to share customised photos, personal messages and access and print photos directly from their Facebook account with ease, transforming their photos into memorable keepsakes by creating unique greeting cards and stationery, print them onto CD/DVDs, and even turn photos into personalised colouring book templates.

“There are many people who delight in printing photos from cameras and smartphones to put on their walls or to share with relatives and friends. Epson has listened to what they want and designed an elegant and versatile multifunction printer that is creating a lot of excitement in stores and amongst keen photographers and creative families,” said Priscilla.

This top-of-the-range occasional A3 photo all-in-one printer has a motorised control panel and output tray that automatically opens before printing, as well as a 4.3 inch touch-sensitive screen with a user-friendly interactive menu that allows for straight forward PC-free photo printing from memory cards and PictBridge. Users can also print onto CDs and DVDs to personalise family films and digital photo albums.

Epson’s Claria Photo HD ink is ideal for photo enthusiasts looking to produce superior quality photographs with a wide colour gamut that can last up to 300 years when using Epson media and stored in a photo album[2]. The six-colour Claria Photo HD ink set (black, cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan and light magenta) delivers high contrast images, smooth natural skin stones and rich, vibrant colours.

Users can also print from anywhere in the world to their home printer by emailing documents and photos to the printer’s dedicated email address. The Scan-to-Cloud selection enables scanned images and documents to be uploaded automatically to cloud storage services, and the XP-950 is also compatible with Google Cloud Print.
