SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
A computer will be required for the controller software. A separate PC is recommended for Epson Edge Print. For controller operation the PC should have a minimum 2Ghz processor, 8GB memory, a 250GB HDD /SSD, 1280x1024 or higher resolution monitor, running 64bit Windows 7 or later with USB3.0 and Ethernet interface connections. For Edge Print the PC should have a 3Ghz or faster CPU (separate GPU recommended), 8GB or more memory, a 250GB or larger HDD/SSD (1TB SSD recommended), 1280x1024 or higher resolution monitor, running 64bit Windows 7 or later.

For optimum performance it is recommended that 1000Base-T Ethernet networking be employed. A network with external Web access will be required for installation, registration and software activation. Operation of Epson Total Solution will require that the controller PC be connected to a network with Internet access and the router configured to allow two-way data exchange.

A 30A power supply with a 50A breaker will be required. Around 8L of long-life coolant liquid will be required for the refrigeration system.

Before application and curing UV ink is sensitive to heat and humidity. It also requires additional care when handling. The printing process produces ozone and an odour that tends to accumulate at floor level. It is recommended that this printer be installed and operated in a controlled environment with an extraction system that vents externally. UV print quality is highly media dependant. Potential customers are recommended to undertake extensive print testing, review the MSDS documentation associated with the ink and review the various Epson pre-purchase and pre-installation checklists prior to placement of a purchase order.

It is supplied with additional on-site CoverPlus that provides parts and labour cover for 1, 3 or 5 years complete with annual maintenance. Customers who need 2 or 4-year cover may purchase an additional year of CoverPlus. Customers who order their printer with 1 or 3-year CoverPlus may extend cover through the purchase of one or more CoverPlus Packs within 365 days of the original installation (total cover may not exceed 5 years).

IMPORTANT NOTES
UV print quality is highly dependant on media selection. Customers are strongly recommended to perform extensive image testing prior to purchase so that product suitability (image quality, workflow and production speed) can be confirmed. Epson and our dealers are happy to provide assistance in optimising results on additional media types however we are unable to accept liability should individual results prove inadequate for a given application.

Epson Cloud Solution PORT is a secure cloud-based system that offers reporting and management facilities for customers. It is also used to facilitate the provision of service and support on this model. Agreement to the terms of supply and registration under the program is required to enable fulfilment of CoverPlus. During operation, the printer must remain connected to a network with Internet access via a router configured for two-way data transfer.

CoverPlus on this model includes the added benefit of a scheduled annual on-site maintenance service. This process usually takes around 4 hours but can be up to 8 hours depending on the work required. During the visit we lubricate moving parts, replace consumable parts and fluids, check/adjust settings and tolerances, check the status of key components and replace as required (including print heads). The date and timing for this service is co-ordinated with the customer to minimise down-time. The cost of labour and non-consumable parts/fluids are covered. Consumable parts including filters, coolant fluid, etc. attract a charge dependant on need, quantity and volume.

Limitations apply to the provision of Warranty and CoverPlus. Support is only provided for product supplied through Epson Australia or Epson New Zealand. The facility is provided in conjunction with the Authorised Large Format Reseller through which the product is ordered and Epson’s network of Authorised Service partners. Service will be provided on-site at no charge for equipment located in major metropolitan areas with ready access and during normal business hours. Regional locations and installations with difficult access may receive on-site service subject to the imposition of a travelling/access charge. Provision of service outside of normal business hours and days (where available) may also attract a relevant charge. Service may be restricted or limited if equipment is not installed in an appropriate environment, not appropriately maintained, modified without authorisation, used outside of specification &/or with non-Epson consumables. Limitations apply to the number of free replacement heads provided under CoverPlus in any given year. For further details on cover, terms and conditions please review the warranty terms and CoverPlus Terms listed on this web-site. If you have additional questions please contact Epson directly.
