Epson Launches New Intelligent Business Scanners

November 2016

Revolutionising workflows with smart features

SYDNEY, 22 November 2016 – Epson has launched two new intelligent, compact, sheet-fed WorkForce document scanners. With powerful media handling and innovative smart features to ensure a high level of data integrity, the WorkForce DS-570W and DS-530 are highly-efficient and geared towards simple integration into an organisation’s workflow. The fact that these new scanners can scan at up to 35 ppm/70 ipm means these devices offer a wide range of media handling options that enable users to rapidly capture, index store and share business-critical documents.

Epson Australia General Manager Sales & Marketing – Consumer Division Bruce Bealby said, “With a new slow mode for scanning crumpled or fragile documents, and their innovative Double Feed Detection Skip, the ability to scan challenging media has never been easier. Intelligent features improve efficiency, accuracy and data reliability, and whether you’re scanning documents as long as six metres, paper as thin as 27 gsm, or card as thick as 413 gsm, you can rely on these models for rapid document processing at the highest quality.”

Custom-designed to handle important documents, from business cards and plastic ID cards to extra-long documents, these scanners incorporate DSC (Dynamic Skew Correction) and a sophisticated multi-roller paper feed design. The ultrasonic sensor allows Double Feed Detection to help avoid misfeeds, and Auto Document Size Detection makes it easy to scan multiple sizes in a single stack.

Automatic Feeding Mode makes it easy to scan originals of different sizes, in any order, into one PDF, while Double Feed Detection Skip enables scanning to resume after a feeding error occurs.

An optional flatbed conversion kit enables a wide range of media to be scanned effectively, such as postage stamps, passports, books and more. This option is available for both models when using USB 3.0 connectivity.

There’s also wireless connectivity on the WorkForce DS-570W so documents can easily be scanned to mobile, tablet and Wi-Fi-enabled work stations with this advanced and compact wireless sheet-fed scanner. An ideal sharing solution for multiple users in dynamic working environments, it’s even easier to scan directly to online storage accounts including Dropbox, SharePoint, FileBound and more.

The WorkForce DS-570W and DS-530 are available now from selected Epson resellers and retailers priced at $599 and $549 RRP including GST respectively.
