At the heart of the Epson PictureMate PM215 is the critically acclaimed Epson MicroPiezo print head – a technology that is crucial in the printer’s ability to deliver miniscule ink droplets with absolute precision on the photo paper. Moreover, with the MicroPiezo print head, the Epson PictureMate PM215 is able to take advantage of another Epson advance – Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT). With VSDT, the printer can generate five different sized ink droplets, with the smallest being used for fine detail in the photograph and the larger sizes used for areas of solid colour.
