WP4590 a fantastic unit for small-med business use
A great unit all round, simple to use. Quality scanner and the print quality on std and speciality papers is great, used for both text and graphics. Very affordable running costs vs the old rule of thumb of laser for business.

Robust workhorse
What an excellent printer! It works just as it should, has the lowest running cost of any MFP (and I have researched them all), has full duplex (not just printing but copying and scanning as well) and was easy to set up.

Good printer, installation could be improved
I purchased this printer a week ago, and installed it using custom network settings on a mixed Mac 10.7 & Windows 7 64-bit wired network. Paradoxically, the Mac install went fine, but the install manager installed multiple instances of the printer with different names and profiles. This was despite a complete deinstallation - reboot-reinstallation. The same goes for the scanner in Acrobat Pro (depending upon the scanner mode). The colour output is good, but hungry on ink. There is an irregular black smudge on the edge of the last page of double sided documents - will require a call to technical support. Also, the 'tech tips' and FAQ section of the website is poor in detail and content compared to those of competing products. No OCR software bundled with printer.
