I have only owned the printer for less than a month so can't comment on its performance long term. But it was easy to set up and had no problem connecting to the network. Have only printed text docs. Quality is good, not as sharp as a laser, but sufficient for what I require. Features on the box indicated scanning through the iprint app was possible. It is worth mentioning that the app allows you to scan an image through your phone camera and then print it directly, however it does not allow you to save an electronic copy of the scan for email etc.

Fast Inkjet with refillable ink tank
The Epson brand is well regarded and with just cause. This printer the ET M1180 replaces an older mono laser printer..the new one is FAST...print quality is excellent and the consumable cost is low..

An economic alternative to laser printing
If you only want B&W printing features (we still have a small Epson colour printer that scans) with good quality and at a reasonable operating cost, then this is the printer for you.
Although originally seeking a laser printer, this Epson model stood out as being a very good alternative for the home printing needs we have.
