Great reputation, great features but my fridge is better looking although touch screen is a good start.
I bought this product today and found it very easy to set up. It's a bit bulkier than I wanted but I liked all the features on it. It could do with a more stylish design but then what printer can't do with one? I feel Epson has an opportunity for better branding / unmistakable styling? Already has a great reputation so go on Epson be bold and brave. Who doesn't want a stylish printer sitting in their home office?

Good build quality and software; output quality not so great 2 years out
I have had this printer for almost 2 years, with moderate usage, mainly text. I have found the software excellent for my needs, particularly the scanning software. This printer seems really fast compared to laser and mostly I have been happy with it. However, the quality of the output has lessened as time as gone on, and the alignment correction/self-cleaning routines have become less effective at keeping images and text sharp. Even so, I'd definitely buy another one of this model.

Frequent malfunctions
This product never worked reliably from day one. When I first got the machine it developed an error within the first few months, which resulted in it giving an error each time I tried to use it. It couldn't print or scan or anything. Epson was nice enough to replace the machine. However the second machine has also developed problems. Now the printer scans fine, but it can't manage to print without everything smudging and lines printing so faintly text is unreadable. Very disappointing.
