The existing old and dark drama space (used commonly to host events for the school, the parish, overseas visitors and the local community) was transformed into a new multifunctional performance space that features operational functionality specifically programmed to allow children from as young as the Prep level to operate the system competently.
A 180" motorised 16:9 Grandview screen equipped with an accompanying Epson EB-G6250W projector with a ELPLU01 short throw lens for shadow reduction was selected to power the visual component of the system design. Multiple connections including VGA, XLR for audio and HDMI were strategically placed across the front, rear and sides of the stage for ease of access from any location across the main stage.
A custom-fitted Lectrum lectern was installed along with a mobile custom iPad control system in an Adtec security enclosure, granting a global command of all audio and visual components including projector, audio, Blu Ray player, Foxtel and over 20 different lighting presets (designed to meet a variety of different filming and stage scenes). The iPad control system was configured on its own wireless network, separate from the school's universal network removing the possibility of network interferences and security breaches.
In addition, 8 Shure wireless microphones (3x lapel and 5x handheld), 2x Australian Monitor MX883 analogue stereo mixers for audio control were fitted off in an 18RU mobile rack.
