Avery Graphics ICS Performance Guarantee

November 2009

The Epson Stylus® Pro GS6000 with UltraChrome GS ink receives the Avery Graphics ICS Performance Guarantee

Sydney 23 November 2009: Durable graphics created by the Epson Stylus® Pro GS6000 printer with UltraChrome GS ink on Avery Dennison Graphics (Avery Graphics) substrates now receive the Avery Graphics Integrated Component System (ICS) Performance Guarantee.

The ICS Performance Guarantee combines Avery Graphics films with other qualified components to form a system which is guaranteed to be compatible and provide superior performance. With this system from Avery Graphics, print professionals know exactly what to expect from their finished graphics because the combination of selected Avery Graphics materials with Epson UltraChrome GS ink has already withstood rigorous scientific testing and met a very stringent set of durability and physical performance specifications.

“This is an exciting announcement for our customers because they now have peace of mind knowing that durable graphics produced with Avery Graphics materials and the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 printer will last up to 3 years in outdoor locations such as on vehicles and 7 years indoors, under specified conditions,” said Epson’s Business Solutions Manager, Craig Heckenberg.

"We are pleased to include the Pro GS6000 printer as part of our ICS Performance Guarantee. This printer is being used by more and more of our customers each day, making it a natural fit within our ICS Warranty Program," said David Newman, Technical Marketing Manager - Asia Pacific, Avery Dennison - Graphics and Reflective Products Division.

“The Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 with UltraChrome GS ink is a 64 inch eight colour photo quality durable graphics printer that makes a strong statement about Epson’s high quality and performance standards for the sign and display market,“ said Heckenberg.

Since its launch twelve months ago, our customers have enjoyed many benefits that only the Pro GS6000 can offer, such as:

- ultra-vibrant colours and improved colour accuracy from an eight colour inkset that includes orange and green.
- a strong competitive edge by offering customers higher quality print work.
- greatly improved operator safety because UltraChrome GS ink is nickel-free and has fewer harmful VOC (volatile organic compounds) than other solvent based inks
- virtually odourless printing capabilities eliminate the need for expensive ventilation and air purification systems.
- lower power consumption because there is no requirement for additional dryers or heaters.
- reduced printer downtime and improved productivity through print engine reliability and greatly reduced operator-supervised maintenance.
- improved total cost of ownership.
- maintained a greater choice of eco-solvent media brands and price for coated and non-coated substrates.
- improved peace of mind knowing that parts (including print heads) and labour are covered by a three year conditional warranty.
- experienced 1st class service and support.

The Pro GS6000 is currently being used to produce high quality durable graphics ranging from; fleet graphics to banners, and fine art décor.
