Brighter images and higher contrast.

Epson's newly developed extended high aperture 1.3" poly-silicon TFT LCD panel and UHE lamp provide ultra-bright images that make presentations look incredible even when the lights are on. With contrast raised to 400:1 and light output raised to 3200 lumens, the Epson EMP-8100 leads the rest of the industry in image quality.

High quality video images

Video capabilities make the EMP-8100 suitable in auditorium, exhibitions and other venues that show video images. High quality video images with super smooth motion are made possible using a variety of new technologies. Color noise is reduced, contrast improved and noises in video images suppressed.

Supporting industry interface and wide video standards

Compatible with Digital Visual Interface (DVI) and other industry standards, users can be assured that the EMP-8100 is equipped to handle the digital connectivity requirements of high-performance PCs and digital displays. The projector also supports all of the world's leading video formats.

Light and compact

Compact and weighing only 8.3kg without, the EMP-8100 can be said to be portable.

New Technologies

The following new technologies are employed in the EMP-8100 to produce images that can be said to be truly second to none.

High-aperture poly-silicon TFT panel

New technology from Epson has enabled us to dramatically increase the aperture ratio of the poly-silicon TFT panel to 1.2 times the level of the EMP-8000.

230-W UHE lamp with short arc length

A new 230-W UHE lamp has been adopted to increase brightness. Lighting efficiency has been improved by reducing the arc length of the lamp from these earlier models.

Interface Progressive converter

Reducing flicker and creating crisp, vivid video images is possible with Interlace Progressive converter technology.

Smooth Motion

EPSON's Smooth Motion technology reduces flicker and makes motion smoother by generating the composite images of each frame and inserting them between the original images. Motion becomes natural.

3D Y/C separation

3D Y/C separation technology helps improve the quality of NTSC video images by reducing color noise and improving contrast.
