Our Local Initiatives

Recognising that the earth's carrying capacity is limited and believing that everyone must share responsibility for reducing environmental impacts equally, Epson takes an active role in driving environmental initiatives to achieve continual improvement.

Reducing Emissions

Epson's approach to mitigate global warming revolves around reducing carbon emissions by conserving energy and using low carbon energy.

Closing the Resource Loop

We manage our business with a closed resource loop and circular economy in mind. From the materials we use to manufacturing and distribution, we're constantly looking to lengthen product life cycles through repair, refurbishment, recycling and reuse.

Repair

  • User replaceable parts for many products
  • CoverPlus – extended service plans offered in addition to warranty

Recycling

To fight waste and promote the development of a circular economy, Epson takes responsibility for end-of-life hardware and consumables such as cartridges and projector lamps. Find out more about our product recycling programs

Certification

ISO 9001 and 14001 standards

As part of our environmental strategy, Epson Australia aims to improve the environmental impact of our internal operations by reducing energy use, waste to landfill and carbon emissions. Epson head office and its distribution centre in Sydney are certified with ISO9001 and ISO14001 – the quality and environmental management international standards.

Industry Membership

Epson Australia is also a member of several associations which demonstrate our commitment towards sustainability and support for the collaborative relationships to drive progress in the industry.

Community Engagement

We actively foster strong connections with our local communities, aligning with our vision to achieve sustainability and enrich communities. We do this through various means including enriching the internal employee experience, participating in volunteer programs, providing financial assistance and making in-kind contributions. These initiatives reflect our commitment to being a positive force in the areas where we operate, fostering a world where every individual and environment thrives.

Earth Hour's First-ever International Corporate Partner

Earth Hour is on 23 March at 8:30 pm local time.

Epson proudly partners with Earth Hour, the world's largest grassroots environmental movement, as its first-ever international corporate partner in 2024. This collaboration is part of Earth Hour's Biggest Hour for Earth initiative, furthering Epson's commitment to sustainability. Together, we demonstrate that saving energy is accessible to all, with small, conscious choices making a significant impact in our daily lives.

As part of this movement, we promote energy-saving actions within our offices and encourage our employees to adopt simple sustainability practices in their daily routines. We also believe that creating and providing products and services that consume less electricity is connected to reducing the environmental burden on society.

You can join us to ‘Give an hour for Earth’. Together, we can turn a single Earth Hour into countless actions for our shared home. #BiggestHourForEarth awaits.
