Introduction and Governing Law
These are the Terms & Conditions of Sale applicable to on-line purchases from Epson Australia Pty. Limited ("EAL"). These conditions should also be read in conjunction with EAL's General Website Terms and Conditions of use.
These terms and the laws of New South Wales, Australia, apply to all transactions for the purchase of EAL products ("Products") from EAL through its web site at https://www.epson.com.au/shoponline/ and any associated web page (the "Site"). These terms represent the complete Agreement between EAL and the Buyer covering the sale of Products from this Site. Except for terms implied by applicable legislation, EAL does not offer or agree to any conditions, warranties, guarantees or representations relating to the quality, description or performance characteristics of the Products other than those set out in these terms. The Buyer's completion of the Order form on this Site will constitute an offer to the Buyer to purchase Products (the "Order"). All Orders are subject to acceptance by EAL.
The prices to be paid by the Buyer for all Products will be EAL's current selling price on the date of receipt by EAL of the Order, less any applicable discounts in effect at that time. All Orders will attract a delivery charge as set out on the Delivery Charges and Checkout pages.
EAL reserves the right to change its prices from time to time without prior notice to the Buyer. All prices in this website include Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 10%.
The GST payable by the Buyer will be shown on Checkout: Shopping Summary screen and on the invoice sent to the e-mail address recorded by the customer. Delivery charges to the nominated address will be advised to the Buyer on the Delivery Charges and Checkout screens.
Instant Cashback & Other Promotions
From time to time Epson runs promotions and instant cashbacks on its products. Once the instant cashback discount has been applied, that product is no longer eligible for any further discounts or promotional rewards. Instant discounts, cashbacks or promotional rewards are not available on factory seconds, ex-demo or carton damaged products.
Factory Seconds Prices
Factory Seconds prices vary from product to product depending upon the age of the stock and the quantities available. Prices are subject to change without notice. No additional Staff or Friends of Epson discounts will be applied to Factory Seconds items. Factory Second products available on this website are only offered for sale to end users and are not offered for re-sale by resellers. Factory Seconds products are not eligible for Epson promotions or cashbacks.
From time to time Epson presents customers with vouchers, and may be used/redeemed on Shop Online to reduce the order value. Only one voucher may be used at a time, and cannot be combined and used on the same order. Vouchers must be used prior to their expiry date, and in accordance with the conditions issued with that voucher.
E-mail Address & Invoices
It is important that you enter a valid e-Mail address, as invoices (in PDF format) are automatically e-Mailed to that address. Please ensure your e-Mail address is accurate. Also check your spam folder for undelivered invoices. An invoice will not be shipped with the goods.
If a Product is "out of stock" when EAL processes an Order, EAL will contact the Buyer to discuss revised delivery times or refund options.
All Orders made by the Buyer under this Agreement must be placed using the webpages on this Site and must specify the information requested, including (but without limitation):
(a) Quantity and description of Products
(b) The full street address to which the Product is to be delivered
(c) Current billing address to which credit card statements are sent.
The Buyer must complete all information requested on this website and credit card payment sites for the Order to be processed by EAL.
EAL will not accept orders:
(a) From trade customers who are buying Products for resale;
(b) If the Buyer does not offer to pay by one of the credit cards, PayPal, BPAY or zipPay as listed in this website;
(c) If the Buyer's credit card provider, PayPal or zipPay does not confirm the payment; or
(d) On back-ordered or out-of-stock products.
EAL will send the Buyer an e-mail acknowledging the Products ordered as soon as possible after the Buyer places an Order. If EAL does not accept the Buyer's Order for any reason, it will inform the Buyer by email in the same manner.
Order Modification or Cancellation
Please ensure order and address details are correct. Once an Order has been placed online it is electronically transmitted to the warehouse for automated fulfilment. Once an order is placed we cannot modify or stop it from being shipped. The Buyer will need to contact the contact EAL via the http://tech.epson.com.au/contact/ to arrange for a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) Number and return instructions. Once the order has been returned to Epson in unopened condition, the Buyer's credit card will be refunded within 5 working days less the freight fee.
Australia Post e-Parcel deliveries occur usually within 2-7 business days after the goods leave our warehouse. Australia Post e-Parcel Express usually takes 1-3 days to arrive at mainland capital cities except Perth and Darwin. AirRoad courier deliveries usually occur within 2-7 business days after the goods leave our warehouse. A Buyer cannot arrange collection of Orders from Epson.
If selecting the AirRoad courier freight method, we recommend sending the goods to your work address where someone is present to take delivery of your order.
A signature is required upon delivery. If no one is available at the delivery address to receive the Products, EAL's delivery agent will leave an "unable to deliver" card at the address and the Buyer should follow the directions on that card to obtain delivery of the Products. When Australia Post is unable to deliver your parcel, it will be returned to your nearest local post office for your collection.
When a Buyer purchases a Factory Seconds main unit and consumables on the same order, the consumables maybe shipped separately from the main unit. i.e. you may receive two deliveries at different times. Large format consumables are shipped separately from other products.
The Buyer acknowledges that EAL may, from time to time, be subject to production, delivery or other unforeseen delays and that EAL may allocate distribution of Products ordered among its customers at its sole discretion.
If Buyer's Order has not been delivered within two weeks, the Buyer should first refer to EAL warehouse dispatch e-mail, clicking on the delivery checker link. By entering the consignment number on the Australia Post / Courier website, the Buyer can see the delivery status of their order. In most cases the undelivered order is waiting collection at the Buyer's local post office. If the product is lost in transit please contact EAL via the http://tech.epson.com.au/contact/.
EAL reserves the right to make partial delivery of an Order. Please ensure delivery addresses are correct prior to placing order, once an order is processed by our warehouse, we are unable change or redirect the delivery address.
Payment for Products purchased from EAL via the Site can be made by the following methods:
- VISA, MasterCard or American Express credit cards via the credit card gateway
- VISA, MasterCard or American Express credit cards or funds transfer via PayPal
- BPAY for direct deposit into our accounts
- zipPay for buy now and pay later.
Credit card information submitted by the Buyer will be verified by the credit card provider or PayPal, and the Buyer will be advised if their Order has been accepted. The Buyer agrees to submit to EAL such information as may be reasonably requested by EAL or the credit card provider for the authorization and verification of its credit card purchases.
Please note that Buyer credit card numbers and details are not processed or retained on EAL systems. Credit card providers may activate additional security measures, such as Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode or American Express SafeKey on your credit card (requiring an additional password). We have no control or access to credit card authentication systems. For all credit card, BPAY or zipPay issues you must contact your bank, credit card provider or zipPay.
EAL reserves the right to exercise its lawful remedies if a dispute arises over payment through the Buyer's credit card provider. In particular, but without limitation, if the Buyer's credit card provider rejects a payment when due, EAL at its discretion may delay or cancel delivery of Orders placed by the Buyer.
BPAY is a service that allows you to make an electronic payment from your bank as a funds transfer. During the BPAY process customers will be presented an invoice for their order in PDF format including the BPAY Biller Code and Transaction Reference Number. BPAY normally takes 1 or 2 business days for your payment to reach our account. Once we receive your payment, your order status will change from Awaiting Payment to Order Received, and your order will then be processed for dispatch. If we don't receive your payment within 5 business days your order will be cancelled, and reserved products will available for other customers.

EAL may also offset and deduct from any refund due to the Buyer all sums owed by the Buyer to EAL. If the Buyer's account is placed in collection, EAL will be entitled to claim all reasonable expenses for collection, including legal fees incurred in connection therewith.
Dead on Arrival (DOA)
A DOA Product is an Epson hardware item (other than a “Factory Second”) that suffers a “major problem” (as defined in the Australian Consumer Law) within your first thirty (30) days of operation, computed from your purchase date. If you purchase your product from Epson’s Shop Online site, the time for calculation will start 2 days after the delivery of your order.
If you believe that a Product is DOA, you must contact Epson’s Technical Support http://tech.Epson.com.au/contact/ to report the claimed DOA status and discuss the fault.
If Epson considers the Product to be DOA, it will issue a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) Number and will send you a DOA label, consignment note and return instructions.
A DOA product should be returned to Epson in its original packaging and with all associated components, cables, software and product manuals.
Epson will pay the freight cost for the return of a DOA Product, provided that the Buyer uses Epson’s nominated freight carrier. Epson at its cost will deliver a replacement Product to the Buyer promptly after its receipt of the DOA product.
Should a Factory Seconds Product fail during the 6 month warranty period, they must contact EAL Technical Support http://tech.epson.com.au/contact/ to report the failure. EAL will direct the Buyer to the nearest Epson Authorised Service Agent for warranty repairs.
EAL will arrange delivery of all Products to the Customer using its nominated freight carriers. A Buyer must not arrange its own courier to collect the Products from EAL.
Incorrect Ordering of Consumables & Other Items
The Trolley Compatibility checking screen allows the confirmation of Trolley consumable items with compatible printers and main unit products to ensure that Buyers have ordered the correct consumables or options for their printer or main unit. Should a Buyer continue to select an incorrect consumable or item and then wish to return it, a $15 re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund provided the returned items are in new condition with their original unopened packaging.
Before returning an incorrect consumable, the Buyer must http://tech.epson.com.au/contact/ and obtain from EAL a Return Material Authorization (RMA) Number and return instructions. At its own cost, the Buyer must return the consumable to EAL within thirty (30) days after receiving the RMA Number.
Incorrect Supply of Order
If due to a warehouse or other error on the part of EAL, the Buyer receives a Product which does not conform to its Order, the Buyer must contact EAL within 7 days of receipt of the Product. After returning the original Product to EAL, provided that the returned Product is in new condition with its original packaging unopened, EAL will ship the originally ordered product.
Before returning a Product, the Buyer must obtain from EAL a Return Material Authorization (RMA) Number and return instructions via the http://tech.epson.com.au/contact/ page.
Products Damaged in Transit
Claims for alleged damage to Products caused in transit from EAL to the destination specified by the Buyer must be notified to EAL as stated below within 48 hours of receipt of delivery and the consignment note must be marked as "Received Damaged".
The Buyer must contact the EAL Website Administrator by http://tech.epson.com.au/contact/ and obtain a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) Number and return instructions. The Buyer must also supply a copy of the consignment note to EAL.
Delivery Outside Australia
EAL is unable to accept Orders or deliver to addresses outside Australia.
Not For Export Outside Australia
Products ordered via the Epson Australia Shop Online website are for Australian use only, and are not to be exported.
Overseas Printer Models
Epson printers are particular to a country region, and consumables will vary from country to country. Consumables sold on Epson Australia's websites are for printers sold in the Australian and New Zealand marketplace, and not be suitable for overseas models. Please contact Epson technical support, phone 1300 361 054 or http://tech.epson.com.au/contact/ before making consumable purchases for overseas supplied products.
Amendment of Terms and Conditions
EAL may revise these terms and conditions from time to time. Buyers should therefore periodically visit this page to familiarise themselves with any such revisions.
Epson Product Warranty

EAL offers a limited range of Products in the "Factory Seconds" section of this website. Some units may have slight cosmetic damage to the unit or the carton. These units are substantially unused except for quality verification and checking by the EAL service department. A new set of ink cartridges have been installed in the unit for testing purposes, should the ink levels in a cartridge be below 75%, then an additional new cartridge will be included in the box. Large format printers do not ship with inks, and differ from unit to unit with regards to their condition, age, packaging, and included accessories, - please refer to specific product pages for details.
Due to the fantastic price reductions offered on Factory Seconds, stock volumes move quickly and Factory Second products are only offered on a "while stocks last" basis. The normal product warranty period for factory seconds is six (6) months from Epson's invoice date. However with Large Format printers it may occasionally be longer, and there may be facility to extend further through optional purchase of CoverPlus (details are noted on the specific product pages). Factory Second products available on this website are only offered for sale to end users and are not offered for re-sale by resellers. The warranty on Factory Seconds products is not transferable. For more information on Epson's Warranty.
From time to time Epson offers a limited number of products that may have slight cosmetic damage to the outside carton. These products are undamaged and come with a full Epson new product warranty. Carton damaged products available on this website are only offered for sale to end users and are not offered for re-sale by resellers.
Non - Epson Product Warranty
Non-Epson manufactured product will be covered by that specific manufacturer's warranty, terms and conditions. Please refer to the manufacturer's website for their specific warranty conditions.
