Back catalogue – Epson EMP-5100
Epson, the creator of high quality, award-winning colour imaging products, has launched the EMP-5100, a new LCD projector which continues to provide industry-leading performance and portability and now offers even more brightness. The EMP-5100 continues to have the same award-winning design, menu and basic functionality as its predecessor, the EMP-5000, but offers 67 percent more brightness. With 750 ANSI lumens, the EMP-5100 is the world's brightest portable SVGA projector.
EON II Lamp System
EPSON has employed the EON II lamp system, a new technology that supports ultra-high efficiency. The Ultra High Efficient (UHE) lamp uses 150-watts and has an arc length of 1.5mm. The EON II lamp system has approximately a five-year life when used about eight hours per week (2,000 hours).
Outstanding Image Quality
Aside from brightness, major identifiers of portable projector image quality are resolution, colour saturation, contrast ratio and illumination uniformity. The EMP-5100 projects clear images across a room no matter how complex the detail, even in a well-lit environment.
The EMP-5100 has a 300:1 contrast ratio (the ratio between the blackest blacks and whitest whites) which provides sharper colours and richer, truer blacks. In addition, the EMP-5100 continues to achieve an impressive 85% illumination uniformity ratio (a measure of the evenness of image brightness), effectively eliminating hot spots found with other projectors.
Industry-Leading Poly-Silicon LCD Technology
The EMP-5100 uses three Poly-Silicon LCD's at 600 x 800 pixels: one for red, one for blue and one for green. So for every image that is sent through the projector 16.7 million colours are used to create the final dazzling output.
EPSON SizeWise Resizing Technology
The EMP-5100 can handle every major notebook resolution from VGA to XGA, depending on the presenter's need with virtually no picture content loss.
Simultaneous Presentations
With many professionals now called upon to produce joint presentations with colleagues or co-vendors, the EMP-5100 will meet their projection needs efficiently. It includes two computer inputs and two mouse ports for use on either Windows or Macintosh platforms.
All of this comes in a compact package that is A4 in size and weighs only 6.6 kgs, making it easy to take on the road. So whether you're going around the corner or around the world, the Epson EMP-5100 gives you the power to make the ultimate presentation... every time.
