The Epson ColorPage EPL-C8000 with Fiery Server offers a complete laser solution for demanding business applications and graphics users with design, review and approval requirements.

Capable of printing on A3W sized paper as standard - a feature which is unique for a colour laser printer - which means full A3 bleed printing with crop marks and density control bars. The Epson ColorPage EPL-C8000 fits perfectly between traditional desktop colour laser printers and highly expensive colour copiers. It offers a range of Epson features as standard to suit the most demanding business colour printing requirements.

Advanced Colour Laser Controller Technology

The Epson ColorPage EPL-C8000 is a showcase for Epson's cutting-edge Advanced Colour Laser Controller. It utilises Epson AcuLaser Color Halftoning technology and is capable of photographic 1200dpi class printing in two modes of operation. Increased Definition mode now enables 268 lines per inch at 24 bit colour, suitable for business graphics and text. Increased Gradation mode also enables 166 lines per inch at 24 bit colour, ideal for continuous tone images such as photographs.

Versatile Paper Handling

Two paper trays are fitted as standard - a 150 sheet multi-purpose tray, capable of handling paper up to A3W size, and a 250 sheet cassette which can handle up to A3 size. An additional high capacity paper unit consists of 3 x 250 sheet cassettes (up to A3 paper size), bringing maximum capacity to 1150 sheets. Specialist media such as heavy paper, envelopes and Epson Color Laser Transparencies can also be used with the EPL-C8000, for which the printer employs a straight paper path.

High Performance Fiery Server

EPSON's high-performance Fiery( Server provides superior productivity, precision colour, effortless control and comprehensive network support. RIP-While-Print( technology allows simultaneous processing and printing of pages resulting in the most efficient workflow. EFI's ColorWise( for the Epson EPL C-8000 provides precise control of colour output; and RIP-Once-Print technology enables any RIPed job to be stored and printed when required.

At the heart of the Fiery( Server, are the Fiery Spooler, Print Calibrator and Downloader utilities. This unique combination of tools enable many printing functions to be performed remotely from your workstation. For even greater flexibility, Fiery Web Tools allow remote users to view server functions and manipulate jobs on the World Wide Web.

Extremely Low Running Costs

The Epson ColorPage EPL-C8000 laser printer is of a high quality rugged construction, ensuring year round reliability and performance with minimal downtime. The Epson Color laser printer offers exceptional ease of operation with low running costs, four individual high-yield toner cartridges - Cyan, Magenta and Yellow - handles up to 6,000^* pages between replacement and up to 4,500* pages for Black. The EPL-C8000 also features Automatic Toner Density Control, which compensates for environmental changes such as humidity and automatically selects the most efficient settings. The power saving feature reduces power consumption by offering 2 Standby levels.

Laser-Quick Business Printing

Advanced data compression technology and a maximum of 256Mb of on-board RAM allow even complex, full colour graphics to be printed with ease. Image processing is fast because its handled by a dedicated ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) installed in the printer. At the heart of it all is a powerful 133Mhz 64-bit RISC processor and state-of-the-art colour laser engine. The result is laser sharp output of up to 16ppm for black-and-white and up to 4ppm for colour.
