Even the higher quality Draft mode is a quick 380 cps, while the Near Lettte Quality mode turns out crisp documents at 95 cps. This superior speed is made possible by a high performance 9-pin head.

Unmatched paper loading versatility gives you additional convenience

When it comes to paper-handling flexibility, the FX-2180 is in a class by itself. In addition to the fixed rear push tractor, it has second front push tractor that can be removed at a touch and placed inside for use as a top pull tractor. Just set the release lever and you're ready to go in seconds. This is especially handy for labels. The front tractor also allows bottom paper insertion, unlike other printers that require an optional bottom tractor. Both tractors can be used in a double push/pull configuration for 'slippery' paper. Virtually any type of multi-sheet paper can be used, including original plus 6 copy types. Cut sheet forms or letters are easily handled with either front or rear insertion. And for high-volume cut sheet printing, single and double bin feeders are available.

Extensive network capability means increased efficiency.

The FX-2180 is an excellent printer for use in networks. It features parallel and serial^* interfaces, and a wide range of optional Type B interfaces enable more people to take advantage of the printers in an expanded network.
