High Speed Printing

When it comes to saving time the LQ-2170 comes first. In high speed draft mode it boasts print speeds up to 440 cps - the fastest in its class. It can also achieve 396 cps in draft mode and a 132 cps in letter quality mode at 12 cpi. What's more you get a choice of nine letter-quality fonts, four scalable fonts, one draft font and eight barcode fonts.

Versatile Multi-Way Loading

Top, bottom, front and rear, the LQ-2170's multi-way loading gives you the flexibility you need to handle virtually any job. From multi-part continuous forms and cut sheets to roll paper, envelopes, postcards and labels, the LQ-2170 can handle a wide variety of paper stocks with ease.

For maximum flexibility, it features a fixed rear push tractor and a removable second tractor that can be used either as a top pull tractor or a front push tractor. With the optional pull tractor installed in the top position, you can also get front-loading, push-pull paper handling. To assist with high volume cut sheet printing, single high capacity and second bin sheet feeders are also available.

Reliability

The LQ-2170's precision-engineered 24-pin head delivers outstanding letter quality text, yet it is powerful enough to produce up to four copies in addition to a sharp, clear original on multi-part stationery.

Compatibility

The LQ-2170 features ESC/P2 control codes and IBM® 2391 Plus emulation that ensures compatibility with a wide range of hardware and software environments. It also has a 64Kb buffer, a bi-directional parallel interface and an optional interface slot for additional interfaces such as serial, buffered, twinax, coax and ethernet. The new printer driver and utility software makes it easy to set detailed print parameters from your computer.
