It's industry-leading print resolution of up to 1440 dpi and high-speed printing capability makes the Epson Stylus COLOR 850 the ideal printer for busy professionals. What's more, its ability to produce outstanding 1440 x 720 dpi printouts on plain paper allows eye-catching colour charts and graphics to be included in all printed material.
Building on the success of the Epson Stylus COLOR 800, the COLOR 850 features the latest advances in colour printing technology. Collectively, these advances are called the Epson PerfectPicture Imaging System and incorporate: Epson's MicroPiezo printhead with new Super MicroDots that are 20% smaller than in previous models; Epson AcuPhoto Halftoning; QuickDry inks and Epson Photo Papers. Combined they set a new standard in high-quality, high-performance inkjet printing without the need to purchase expensive options.
To ensure accurate colour matching between the monitor and printed output, the Epson Stylus COLOR 850 features advanced colour correction software which complies fully with both Windows 95 ICM and Macintosh ColorSync 2.0 colour matching systems.
An improved new user interface with a full function on-screen Status Monitor makes it easy to check ink levels and paper availability at a glance. The Epson PhotoEnhance™ 2 function automatically adjusts colour and exposure levels with a single click of a button.
To enable the whole office to take advantage of high-speed colour printing, the Epson Stylus COLOR 850 is designed for multi-platform compatibility and easy networking (optional connectivity interfaces are available). In addition, to support both Windows and Mac® OS 8.1 to 9.X, it also features an array of optional interface cards for extended connectivity solutions.
