Epson SureColor P405 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup, easy to use. I have always used Epson printers and this is a replacement for my hard working R2000. As it is so similar to the R2000 I have had no problem adjusting to it The printer seemed faster to install and get up and running than the previous printer. I have usually used Epson Archival Matt paper which I have been extremely happy with but will be trying other papers very shortly. If I get the use out of this unit I had from the one it replaces I shall be more than happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing print quality for those who don't print much... and other initial finding I was fortunate enough to win one of these. So while I'm extremely thankful to Epson for the prize, I'll be as honest as I can be. As an extremely enthusiastic photographer, who until last week, had only a monochrome laser printer, this is an amazing prize to receive. Obviously, I intend to use it (and have) for photographs. I've found, right from the first print, the print quality met, and exceeded my expectations. The smooth transitions in the print quality were easily of professional standard... even on cheap paper. (I hadn't got my delivery of fancy paper yet) This printer does need quite a bit of space, both in front and behind which is not listed in the specifications. However, compared to other photography-oriented printers this one is quite small. I'm very impressed with the glossy black, and two full A4 glossy black prints (even after the initial "filling the pipes" of ink, used roughly 10% of the glossy black cartridge... which at $25 Australian, means an A4 print should run at roughly $1.25 each. (Not including paper) While the cartridges are small (there are 8 in total, which is a large-ish amount of ink when combined), it's handy to be able to change each one as necessary. This is particularly useful if you don't do a lot of printing, since the cartridges dry out over time.... obviously I haven't had it long enough to do this yet, but they say to use the ink within 6 months of installation. If you do a lot of printing, I'd suggest one of the more economical models such as the SureColor-P800, at least, that's what was recommended to me by the Epson guys at "The Digital Show". All in all I'm happy with this product, and I look forward to seeing what else this printer can do. I hope this helps!
